Large Sand Dust Clouds over the Eastern Atlantic seen in Meteosat Images

This image sequence of 13 visible channel images was taken over West Africa and the Eastern Atlantic. One can see large dust clouds travelling westwards out to the Atlantic Ocean. The dust unlike clouds is more fuzzy and has less contrast.

This sequence was observed on 9 March 1998. A sequence of thirteen visible images was taken (08:30 to 15:00 UTC).
