Total Eclipse of the Sun as seen by Meteosat-7

In the image sequence below a loop of images taken by Meteosat-7 (located at 10°W at that time) is shown. The images were taken on 26 February 1998 between 14:30 and 21:00 UTC. While the terminator is crossing the image westwards, the shadow of the moon can be seen over the Caribbean area travelling eastwards.
